Kent Nichols

Kent Nichols, Vice President of Weston & Sampson, has more than 35 years of water, wastewater, and stormwater management and engineering experience. As practice leader for Weston & Sampson’s wastewater treatment and related water resource protection efforts, Mr. Nichols has strong experience with US EPA and MA DEP regulatory policies, and helps clients plan to meet the changing regulatory climate for water quality projects. His expertise includes a water resource planning focus, having completed many Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plans (CWMP) and related planning efforts for Massachusetts communities, and a wide range of water resource protection projects in sensitive coastal areas, including Barnstable, Bourne, Marion, Nantucket, Newburyport, Rockport, and Saugus, Massachusetts. Mr. Nichols has also assisted several clients with planning, design, permitting, and construction phase engineering services for wastewater treatment facility (WWTF) improvements including innovative and advanced treatment systems designed to meet the challenge of evolving discharge permits. A registered Professional Engineer in MA, RI, and VT, Mr. Nichols holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University. He is also an active member of NEWEA and WEF, and is Vice Chair of the WEFTEC Program Committee.
