Jane Madden is a Senior Vice President at CDM Smith, a consulting, engineering, construction, and operations firm that focuses on water, environment, transportation, energy, and facilities. Since joining CDM Smith in 1984, Ms. Madden has been involved in the planning, design, and construction of some of the most challenging wastewater treatment projects in New England. As CDM Smith’s Technical Strategy Leader for Water Reclamation (2013 -2022), she developed best practices and sustainable treatment processes to clients across North America to improve water quality while minimizing costs to rate payers. She has helped move the industry from simply designing wastewater treatment plants to meet water quality standards to designing water resource recovery facilities that reclaim water for reuse, reclaim nutrients and biosolids for soil amendments, and use biosolids to generate power and fuel. Ms. Madden is a graduate of the University of Vermont, a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts and a board certified Environmental Engineer.
